About Me

After endless searching for an outfit for Goodwood Revival back in 2008, I decided to start making my own clothes.  I simply could not find anything that I could not live without, in my size and within my budget.

I had been sewing since I was a child (the daughter of a theatrical costumier, and the grandchild of a corsetiere) although I had never used a sewing machine, never mind a commercial dressmaking pattern!

In 2015, I left my career in law to pursue a career as a dressmaker.

In 2017, I was offered a job as a replacement for the retiring head of the pant shop for a London tailor, where I stayed until March 2020.

During lockdown, I discovered a love of historical tailoring and decided to expand my offering to include Victorian and Edwardian items of clothing and corsetry.

I am based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire (UK).
